This vintage Toy Steam Roller Clock was made using a 1960’s era Hubley Diesel Steam Roller toy. The vintage cast metal toy with metal wheels was the starting point for this unusual timepiece. It has a battery operated quartz movement clock that is mounted under glass and inside a housing from a vintage instrument gauge. The clock is mounted to a large steel tube formed into a loop and attached to a steel mitre gear, which is bolted to the toy.
This is another enjoyable assemblage art piece by Van Dusen Designworks. The artist used a vintage pocket watch fob with a tag showing the title of the piece, ID number and date it was created.
The vintage Toy Steam Roller Clock makes for a great conversation piece. Display in a office, home or in a childrens bedroom.
