This artwork is titled Letting Go and is a 3D wall sculpture and painting. The artist hand cut three wood pieces and then realistically painted each piece in acrylic paint. These are assembled on to a wood frame allowing them to float away from the wall, giving you the full 3D appearance.
This construction and arrangement of the wood pieces can be seen in the various photos. One of the photos shows you the side view where you can see the structure of the artwork.
The Letting Go 3D wall sculpture is part of a new series by Texas artist Lori Maclean. Her sculptural artworks involve figurative and abstract elements. The perspective and placement are intentionally applied to enhance the depth and movement of each artwork. The artist signature and the date of the painting are on the reverse.
