Window is the title of this realistic sculpture by artist Michael Garman. This early wall mounted piece is part of his Cityscapes series from the late 1970’s.
This large piece spotlights a large wood frame window on the side of an old brick building. Inside the double hung window is an old man having a Schlitz beer and feeding a pigeon. Like his other sculptures, this piece is full of details that add to the realism and story.
Under the brim of his cowboy hat, a close up of the mans face shows his age and weathered skin. Wearing a wrinkled blue shirt, he casually feeds seeds to a friendly pigeon. The detail of the Schlitz beer can and the wood grain on the window frames is amazing. This is why Michael Garman was so well known and his work so recognizable.
The Cityscape scene is mounted in a wood frame case with acrylic cover. The box is made to be wall mounted and has two hangers on the reverse. The top has a hinged lid that allows access to the sculpture.
Window is an original sculpture by Michael Garman from the late 1970’s. This is a mixed media sculpture that was hand-painted and housed in its original natural wood frame box with clear plexiglass panel.
