End Of The Line painting by Nik Puspurica is a nostalgic look back at a bygone era. It depicts a busy trolley stop on Ervay street in Dallas, Texas. The 1930’s car suggest the artist was influenced by his early memories of his life in Dallas. His family lived there during this time and the artist grew up and went to school in the area.
I love the way the artist captured the busy scene at the end of a day. The round orange headlights of the car mimic the orange sunset in the distance. His use of muted and flat colors, would lead you to think this painting was from the 1930’s or 1940’s period. This time capsule moment is a common theme of the artist work in his later years.
The End Of The Line is an unsigned original painting on canvas, that comes directly from the artist estate. The paintings title is written on the reverse in the artist hand. Be sure to see our other Puspurica original paintings and watercolors currently available.
