This oil on canvas painting of a winter landscape in Colorado is by artist Victor Armstrong (1937-2022). Known for his Colorado and Texas landscapes and was a member of the Rocky Mountain Plein Aire Painters. We believe this painting was done in the area of the Maroon Bells in the Elk Mountains, not far from Aspen.
