This large vintage Brutalist wall sculpture is a signed original artwork made of brass and copper. Similar to those made by Curtis Jere and Silas Seandel, this mid century wall sculpture has a distinct look. Its striking verticality is enhanced by the slender brass tubes with torch marks and perforations that run the length of each tube. This gives the tubes a reed or bamboo appearance.
The layered abstract pieces are handmade torch cut forms made from copper and brass, each having their own patina. These undulating free-form shapes weave and cascade through the vertical structure of the sculpture. Each are attached to the tubes, giving you the impression of floating leaves in motion.
The artist signature can be found in the lower right on a brass triangular shaped piece. The signature is not one we recognize, so the artist is unknown to us. It also includes a trademark and copyright mark.
Although intended to hang vertically, this vintage Brutalist wall sculpture could be shown horizontally as well.
