This pair of etched acrylic panels from a women’s boutique are truly stunning. Each panel depicts a very elegant woman in a high fashion formal gown. The stylized figures of the women are reminiscent of those created by the French artist and designer Erté. Their slim silhouette figures with elegant dresses and flowing long length trains, look sensational.
The large etched acrylic panels have been skillfully carved to feature the ladies lavish and fashionable gowns. In person, you will be amazed at the depth of the carved acrylic panels. The acrylic appears to be .75″ thick or more and mounted securely in a wood frame. The wood frames are actually lightboxes. One side showcases the etched acrylic panel and the other side a large mirror. The mirror is mounted on a hinged wood door, allowing access to the inside of the lightbox. Obviously the mirror is a perfect component to have inside a clothing store.
Inside each of the shadowboxes are four neon tubes, one for each side of the frame. Although the neon tubes appear to be intact, they have not been tested for use. These are vintage panels and did not come with transformers for the neon. Transformers can easily be purchased should you decide to use the neon lighting. Another lighting option would be to use newer LED lighting inside the shadowbox. This would allow for more efficiency as well as the ability to change the color of the lighting.
The women’s boutique etched acrylic panels are vintage and were originally from a retail store in Dallas, Texas. They are ideal for a high-end women’s clothing store or a bridal shop. They can be used inside as store display fixtures or permanently mounted for exterior use. Although they were made for commercial use, they could be used in a residential setting. Their lighted picturesque appearance would look splendid in a luxurious dressing room or dream wardrobe closet.
