Yes, this antique Walnut table is actually a miniature Victorian tilt top table or Loo table. Standing almost 9″ tall, this superb miniature model looks like the real full size table. The circular tilt top has a molded edge with a beautiful figured Burr Walnut quarter veneer top. Underneath is a square frame that is hinged to the bottom of the table top.
It supported by three turned supports attached to corresponding splayed legs with bun feet. The legs are beautifully carved and joined in the center by a circular wood base, topped with a turned finial. There is also a similar yet smaller finial mounted below the tripod base.
Of special note is the 8 sided stars on the knee and foot of each leg. Absolutely spectacular detail and a testament to the craftsman who made this handsome miniature Victorian tilt top table.
