This nice vintage pub mirror advertises India Pale Ales from William Younger & Company of Edinburgh Scotland. As was common in the United Kingdom, the beer makers loved to advertise their Ales and Stouts using these handsome and elaborate mirrors. This one is a nice example that even features reverse painted red and blue lettering with gold leaf details. Look closely at the photos and you can see the ornate embossed corner and border details.
William Younger & Company was a brewery founded in 1749 in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. In 1931 Younger’s merged with William McEwan’s & Company to form Scottish Brewers Ltd.
