This amazing Frank Gehry Cross Check armchair is like a piece of sculpture. Inspired by wooden apple crates he played on as a youth, Frank Gehry created the ribbon-like design of the Cross Check chair and armchair in 1992. The maple wood strips are interwoven and joined together to create a sturdy chair with a very striking appearance.
Frank Gehry is a Pritzker Prize-winning architect who is well known for his architecture as well as furniture and home accessories. The Knoll armchair has its original wood finish and its black leather round cushion. The underside is stamped with the Knoll Studio logo, Frank Gehry’s signature and date of production.
