Striking mid century modern bookcase or book shelf unit by Italian designer Franco Albini. Known as the LB7, this unit was manufactured by Poggi of Italy. This totally modular unit includes 3 supports, 1 cabinet, 1 drawer unit and 7 shelves with varying depths, the deepest being 15.75″. All units are adjustable and can be moved up or down and side to side.
Although we are showing the unit mounted to the wall, it was originally made to mount to the ceiling and floor, and used as a room divider. It’s ideal for an open plan living area where you want some separation and a dramatic display. Use as an open divider between a living room and a dining area. Add some privacy between a bedroom and a living area. However you use it, it will definitely make a statement!
The 3 top anchors mount to the ceiling while the 3 bottom anchors rest on the floor. The anchors are about 5″ tall each, which adds approximately 10″ overall height to the unit. This floating bookcase can then be accessed on either side. You can have the three drawer unit face one side and the two door cabinet face the other side. This along with the open and adjustable shelving make it usable on both sides.

CONDITION: The mid century modern bookcase is in very good condition and structurally sound. There are some marks, scratches, dents, dings and stains as shown in the photos. The unit can be used as is or easily refinished for a superb looking bookcase.
