This lovely female glass sculpture with its shapely form is reminiscent of the Venus de Milo. Including the glass base, the statue stands almost 19″ tall. It is made from a thick piece of tempered plate glass, as is the base. The artist hand cut and shaped the each piece of plate glass for the female form and the base. Although the chiseled edges appear sharp, the artist smoothed and hand finished all the edges of the glass for safe handling.
The artist signature Toledano is on top of the base, along with the date 96. This very distinctive female glass sculpture would be at home in any modern or contemporary setting.
