This modern flora sculpture #2 looks like it is made of heavy concrete, but it is not. The sculpture weighs only 4 pounds and is made from aerated concrete. The look, feel and texture is just like a cinder block or Haydite block, used in building construction.
The artist and designer of this piece is Alberto Pretel of Brazil. Its monolithic block form is solid and has the look of modern flowers and leaves with an architectural aesthetic. We especially like the distinctive three dimensional design and appearance.
We currently have two of these wonderful pieces, with this one being the smaller size. You can find the larger one online HERE.
This modern Flora sculpture #2 would make a lovely gift for an architect or interior designer. It’s perfect for any setting and would be right at home in a mid-century to postmodern style home.
