This lovely antique umbrella stand is made from authentic Bamboo cane with a tortoiseshell finish. It was purchased in France in the late 1970’s, but we believe it is most likely English in origin. The fitted back plate is covered in rush, which adds even more to its elegant appearance. Even the large diameter bamboo post are topped with ornate brass covers giving the stand a complete finished look. These are not typically found on bamboo furniture, which speaks to its quality.
The antique Bamboo umbrella stand has two square framed areas for your walking sticks, canes and umbrellas. At the bottom, it retains its original metal tray, which is commonly missing. Overall , this is handsome piece and would look great in an entry area or office.
